Apologies for the late post, this completely slipped my mind last night. But hey, I managed to remember it today, so I guess that's better than nothing. Honestly, I'm surprised that this is the first time I've forgotten, given how easy it is to forget this kind of thing.
So, this week was just more of finding areas under curves, using the Fundamental Theorem and whatnot. And with a test on Monday, I have to say I feel incredibly unprepared. With all the school we've missed, and will probably continue to miss (at this point, I'm almost expecting there to be at least one day off each week) I (and probably many others) have found it fairly difficult to fall back into the swing of things, and I feel like my learning ability has faltered because of it. This week especially, I've been finding it more difficult than it should be to remember how to do the work from the day before, and while I'm usually able to remember it pretty quickly regardless, the long term part doesn't seem to be there. Like, I remember the whole 1/(b-a) times an antiderivative is one of the equations, but I couldn't tell you what it's actually used for. I *think* it's the Mean Value Theorem, but I'm not wholly sure. And then there's the matter of relearning every day how I'm supposed to deal with f(x) and F(x), when and when not to actually take the integral when the integral symbol is present, and really just developing an understanding of the material. It's really quite annoying, and I'm going to have to spend some time tomorrow studying for a test that I should, by all rights, be completely fine with taking without studying. These snow days are really just throwing me off, and while I can't say I'm upset about having them (on the contrary, I'm usually hoping for them) my more scholarly side is quickly realizing just how detrimental they really are to the class. I'm curious to see how everyone else does come Monday, because I have a hard time believing that I'm the only one being affected by this. But anyways, I'm really just hoping that I can, at the very least, get a repeat of the last quiz. Even if I have to struggle my way through, I'd really like to get a good score, especially after having messed up this assignment.
So, that's really all I've got. I'd like to explain some of the trickier concepts or something, but like I've said, they all seem tricky after having learned them during these past few weeks. Because of that, I'm going to end off here, and (hopefully, if I can remember) will have an update next Friday.
